1. What We Collect

- Language preference (e.g. French, English)
- Karaoke recordings (only if you tap 'Record' – stored locally for now)
- Saved vocabulary (words you tap or save in-app)Basic device data (for crash reports, TestFlight analytics)
Your public profile
To let other users recognize you in the app, we also ask for basic profile information:
Name – This is the name that will be shown to other users when they open your profile.
Photo – You can add a profile photo. This photo may be visible to other users in the app.
Location (city only) – We may ask for your location in order to show which city you’re in on your profile.
We do not share your precise location. We only show the city name on your profile, and only for the purpose of letting other users see where you are based.
You can change or remove your name, photo, and city at any time.
2. How We Use It
We use your data:
- To help you track your progress and vocabulary
- To improve app performance and UX
- To identify bugs or usability issues during beta testing
Your recordings are NOT shared or used for training AI models. They are stored locally on your device and not uploaded to our servers (yet).
3. International Use (GDPR)
If you're in the EU or UK, please note:
We process minimal personal data under GDPR's "legitimate interest" during beta.
Data may be processed outside the EU (e.g., in the US via Firebase/Google Cloud).
When we launch fully, we'll implement proper safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for cross-border data transfers.
4. Your Rights (EU/UK Users)
